My dad's first lesson

I ask what is more important than being happy being yourself?

The answer is to love God and your family because this is where all true happiness begins. My father's fist lesson to me as a child . . .

"Happiness is something you carry with you. No one can give it to you."

I have found this to be oh so true but the older and wiser I get I have found that there are negative people out there who will try to steal your happiness. Please do not let them. Carry it with you everywhere you go. By all means share it but never forget it belongs to you and is a gift from God.
