To Do Lists

When people first meet me they think I live a boring life all work etc but I am a great believer in making a to do list and crossing something off each year. One item that I took off last year was to climb the temple of the sun in Mexico and to walk in the ball court. How strange to think that the winning captain thought it was an honor to give his life to take a message to the gods. Open heart surgery without medication so to speak is what I call real commitment and faith.

This year I climbed the leaning tower of Pisa and the year before last it was to the top of the Coppola of St. Peters in Rome . Of all the climbs that's the one that made me think "man I must be fit" :)

Other items knocked off the list? Well they are numerous to say the least. When I look at the list I realize how much I have been blessed and all the neat things that I have done.

Funny thing it all started with not being able to take a trip in high school because my dad had died and we could not afford it on what my widowed mum brought in. My mum told me not to worry though as one day I too would get to see Europe just as my sister had when she went on the high school trip few years earlier.

Well like most things my mother promised it certainly came true. I wonder? Did she pray for me to see the world? I don't know but I certainly have been round it more than a few times.

King David said that all we have comes from God and that He is the source of everything we have. I have certainly found this to be true in my life and king David was a man after God's own heart so he knew what he was talking about.

God bless you and yours
