The Return

Like Rustum I had retired to my castle and taken leave of my writing but after more than a few "we miss you" from various friends I have once more picked up the pen. This time promising to not put it down again. I will write frequently and that is a promise.

I left but for a moment,
Thinking not but for a day.
And though the time was needed,
To simply kneel and pray.

I in humble solitude,
Did look out o'er the lake,
As sunlight kissed the trees,
And I for friends did pray.

I thanked God for His blessings,
And thanked Him for this life.
And once more rememberd,
Those who are suffering and in all kinds of strife.

And if a few words from me,
May brighten up your day,
Or some words of wisdom,
Assist you also to pray.

Then with our Lords assistance,
I am on this blog to stay,
And if I miss a week,
I am sure in rememberance of me you will surely pray.
